We Gave In....

Ok so we were NOT going to buy a crib until after we moved into our place after Basic Training and stuff with the Air Force. While we live with my parents we were just going to have braxton sleep in his pack-n-play because he would be so small and not really need a big crib all to himself. Although we already had the bedding we wanted. We were NOT going to give in. We were going to save that money for anything else we needed... Well little to say We gave in. Aaron was looking online at baby stuff and he came across this deal. We looked at it for a little bit and talked about how we didn't need it. But it was the same style we had been looking at IF we were going to get a crib. This crib is used but the lady said her son only slept in it for like 24 hours. He was one of those babies that had to fall asleep in your arms and he wouldn't sleep in his crib. So we just couldn't pass it up..... Isn't it beautiful! So of course since we got a new toy we had to play with it!!!! We took it into the back bedroom and set it up with the bedding in it! It was so weird to walk around the corner and see the crib all done up and think.. wow soon there will be a baby in there! Every little thing makes it seem more and more real! Also I am 35 weeks along and the doctor says I am still measuring perfect and everything. My doctor's aide was telling me I was so wodnerful that I needed a perscription for it so she gave me a perscription for a FREE LARGE SUNDAE @ Dairy Queen! It was delicious! Oh the benefits of being pregnant! So the countdown has begun from now on I go to the doctor every week until Braxton decides to come. I better pack my hospital bag. I have his ready but I'm not.
So here it is the final crib. We love it and are so glad we gave in. But no more. We are not buying anything else. becasue well quite frankly we don't need it. We are set we are just patiently waiting for him to come. We've spoiled him enough already... maybe we'll spoil ourselves one day soon!!!!

33 weeks

Aaron says my belly now sticks out further then some other things... Braxton is definitely growing and I am too slowly. I had my Dr. appt on Monday and i had not gained any weight in the last 3 weeks but he said everything is perfect. So I am doing well. Other then the heartburn that I get at least twice a day, and some back pains. Braxton in my opinion is going to be a very athletic kid. He moves and rolls and kicks and squirms all day long.. and at night when I'm trying to sleep, but i don't mind it I just lay there in bed with my hands on my stomach and enjoy it. Unless I'm really tired then i just wish he would sleep as well. I am grateful that my pregnancy has gone well so far and I hope it continues to go well. We only have about 6 1/2 weeks until he should be here. From now on I go to the Dr. every 2 weeks. Time has flown by and before we know it we will be adding one more to our little family.

Family Pictures

I really wanted some maternity pictures with Aaron in them so while we were home for the baby shower we had my mom take a few pictures for us. These ones are our favorites.

We are so excited for Braxton to come and we seriously can't wait. It still seems unreal to me that in a few short weeks we will have a baby that is ours forever, there is no taking him back to his parents because we are his parents... oh man i don't know if we thought about this.. jk We can't wait and we are so glad that our families are so excited as well

Baby Shower

We went home the weekend of the 20th to do my baby shower. Before the guests arrived I decided I wanted to dress up Zoey and play doll with her. She looked so cute in Braxton's little outfit and she just sat on my lap so content. Pretty much like what you see in the picture. What a good little girl... in boy's clothes.. We had a delicious variety of food to eat.. Thank you Mom for preparing all of this.
Kiera was my little helper while I was opening the gifts she would bring them to me and after I opened them I would ask her if they were going to fit me, but she always told me they were for my baby.

We had such a nice turnout. Thank you everyone that came. We appreciate all the gifts, and we know Braxton will love them!

Again Kiera being my little helper.

Here are all the wonderful gifts we got, and Braxton's great great Aunt Francis sent him a swing. She lives in California. He is going to be a spoiled little boy. Lots of people to love him.

31 Weeks

I forgot to post this pic... 31 weeks! Only 9 more to go.

Valentine's Day

Aaron always wakes up before me but today I wanted to wake up early and make him cinnamon rolls....... little did I know that he wanted me to stay in bed so he could set up a treasure hunt for me. The one day I want to get up I am told to go back to bed.... I'm ok with that! So he sent me on a treasure hunt around the apartment to find my gift.. Some of his hints were pretty clever and made me laugh. My treasure hunt ended back in the bedroom where I found my gift waiting for me on my bed. Here it is...

He bought me the sequel to the book I read a while back and little to say I read this book in just a couple days. I know they are crooked but these are the flowers he got me Saturday night. They have survived quite a while they are just starting to die. While Aaron was at school on Friday I decorated our kitchen for the upcoiming Valentine's Daya dn our 6 months anniversary. On this wall I wrote all the reasons I love Aaron... he didn't even notice it for like 10 minutes after he got home. I thought it would be pretty obvious seeing how it is right next tot the front door. I always set his present out on the table adn wouldn't let him open it til Sunday. i wanted to torture him! lolWhen he finally did get to open it this was inside! What a good movie for the holiday right?? lol
I We decdied that we would both take a night to do dinner. Aaron's night was Saturday night. We had Papa Murphy's. Which I love. And i didn't want him straining himself to hard! It's the thought that counts.

Sunday was my day to make dinner and since Aaron's favorite meal is meatloaf and the last time I made it for him was last year on Valentine's Day I figured that's what i would do.. Maybe I'll just make it a tradition?

We had a great Valentine's Day. We fall more in love with each other every day, and our little man that is on the way. He gives us something to look forward too as well. We can't to see him.
