Update!

This handsome little boy is going to be a Year old in.....

27 days!

I can't believe it. Just chewing on some celery for lunch.

He wants anything and everything that we eat. We love being able to go on dates again.
We went to church in our new ward.

Met some nice people.

Excited to get moved into a place and make it feel homey.

I love those boys more then anything in the world.
We are heading home in about 2 weeks to visit.

Get our stuff, and celebrate Braxton's birthday with our families. Aaron has 9 days of school left.

Braxton has 2 teeth poking through.

And Me... well I am just trying to keep my sanity for a little longer

in this hotel room!

the last few days

Doesn't that face just make you smile?
Braxton loves Bathtime, whenever i say "Braxton are you ready to take a bath?"
He looks at the bathroom door and says "du du du" for duck.
While he is in the tub if I ask him where the duck is he always looks for it and then goes and gets it. It is so fun to wathc him learn what different things are. We love having Dad with us whenever he can be here.
Time is going fast because in just 4 weeks we are flying home to move all of our stuff here.
It's still weird to me that this will be "home" for awhile.
We did find a 3 bedroom apartment we like,
Just waiting for the application process to be done.
So I don't know where he learned this face, but he has just started pulling it ALL the time.
He will look at me and pull this face for no reason.
SO while we were waiting for Aaron the other day I kept scrunching my nose at him and he would copy me. I'm loving it.
While sitting in the parking lot waiting for Aaron I like to go a little early to watch them all march across the street, it is pretty amazing to me to watch 500 people be in step with each other. Here they are lined up waiting to be released after class.
Just waiting, oh i got a new hat, Perfect for days that i don't feel like doing my hair!lol
Here's that face again.Gotta love it!!!

oh and still no teeth, however we can see right where they are gonna be!

February 24, 2011

Ten months ago Grandma Richins met her FIRST Great Grandchild.
Little did we know ten months later we would lose her.
She was in love with Braxton and it was sooo much
fun to watch.
Everytime we would go and visit her,
she would take picture after picture of him!
She called him Brax. which was so cute.

Grandma had been in the hospital for over 2 months with an infection
they thought they got it all but then it started spreading.
We lost her on Braxton's 10 month birthday.
She was a beautiful lady and wil be dearly missed.
I only have good memories of her.
I know that she is in a better place. She is with her parents again
and she is no longer suffering. That is the best thing we could have asked for her.
She is dearly missed and still loved by everyone that knew her.
On a happy note
Braxton is 10 months old!
I love watching his little personality come out more and more each day.
He thinks he is a pretty funny kid.
Sometimes he will just throw his head back and start to laugh!
He loves to play peek a boo!
He is defintely a curious kid.
As I write this he is sitting on the bathroom floor playing with my straightener
pushing all the buttons. DOn't worry it is unplugged!

I can not believe he still doesn't have any teeth!
However I have heard the longer they take the healthier they are.. let's
just hope that's true.
Braxton is starting to stand a little on his own for a few seconds at a time.
I can't believe our sweet little boy is going to be a year old in 2 months.
The time has just flown by, but we have enjoyed every second of it.
I am so grateful for him and the blessing he is in our life!
We love him more then we could have ever imagined!!!

Our Temporary Home

Well here it is: Our temporary home.
Aaron had to stay on base the day I moved in so I had to unpack the car all by myself. He watched Braxton for a while so I could unpack.
Good thing too because we are on the third floor and I had some pretty heavy suitcases.
My first thought was oh great, it smells like someone has smoked in here
and it's small, How am I going to keep my sanity here?
Well once I got things unpacked and put away so we didn't have a huge suitcase in the middle of the floor, it started to feel more homey. Now that we have been here for a week or so it does feel like our place beacuse I have gotten used to it. Not saying i want to stay here forver, but it will do for now.
Because it is soooo small and only one room during the day when Braxton has his toys out it looks sooo messy..

But once I have a chance to make the beds and clean up after him,
It doesn't look too bad.
In fact I think it's kinda cute! As you can see there is only one full size bed and the couch that can be used as a bed...
So where does Braxton sleep?
Well I am so used to having him in the same room as me that I hear every little noise he makes.
SO i put him on the couch with pillows around him
sure enough the first night around 2 am
I hear a loud thud and then some crying.
He had fallen off the bed.
So i brought him into bed with me..
Well whenhe is with me he thinks he is king of the bed and sprawls all over the place, sleeps crooked and wants to be right in my face.
I wake up cramped and kinked all over.
So I tried puttin him on the floor on some blankets,
well he does't sleep there very long wakes up about 2 or so and
ends up in bed with me ayways.
I don't know what is going on, maybe he is finally teething,
but the last 2 nights he has woken up a few times and jsut been mad!
He kicks the blankets and looks at me and screams.
Oh how it will be nice when he has his own room
and sleeps through the night,
but with our moving around and being in our room his whole life
i don't blame him,.
In fact Aaron doesn't think I will be able to handle it
when Braxton gets his own room....
and hate to admit it but he's probably right.

Texas!!!

After 3 days, 30 hours, and 2000 miles...
We made it to texas!!!
Braxton was a happy camper for the most part,
he had a couple times where he just got mad. But i don't blame him
he was stuck in a chair with bags all around him.
We couldn't have asked him to be any better.
My mother in Law drove with me and thank goodness
she did. No way could i do it on my own.
Good thing we get along!!!
He was playing peek-a-boo!
We walked around the parade grounds with Aaron's mom, before she had to leave.
Braxton loves being with his dad again!
He is soooo happy everytime we see him!
My Happy Boys together again.
After my mother in law left on Monday we went to the park
with Braxton for the first time!
He loved the swing!!!
And we love that he is old enough to enjoy it.
With the weather being so nice I
guarantee we will be spending more time at the park,

He was trying to climb up the slide but his hands were too slippery so he couldn't do it, he was getting kinda mad but it was soooo cute to watch.
Glad the weather was so nice, he really enjoyed the park.

If you can see the little boy over there, Braxton couldn't stop staring at him, He is such a people watcher... he gets it from me. and he loves little kids!

Our cute boy! What a precious face!
He is starting to love bath time. I will just walk around the corner so I can keep an eye on him and hear him, and he just jabs away in there.
Already pulling his clothes out of the drawers and throwing them all over the floor.
He now says "oooohhhh" to everything,
His new ball, he loves to chase it around the room.
Riding the horses outside the BX!

Aaron has to stay in the dorms on the weekdays so we only get to see him
for a few hours a day right now.
Let's just say we spend a lot of time walking around the BX
looking at all the things we want to buy.
We have practiced a lot of self control... we haven't bought anything....
YET!
Mostly because we have nowhere to put it right now.
Braxton and I come to the base about an hour before we get to see Aaron so we can go for a walk.
When we do see Aaron walking towards us Braxton starts to get really excited
and kicks his feet. Oh I love that he gets so happy.

We miss our families but we are getting used to our life in Texas.
We are loving the warm weather
and the fact that we get to be together every day.
We are headed back to Idaho in about 6 weeks after Aaron graduates
to pack up a u-haul and bring all of our stuff down here.
I'm so excited to get it out of the storage unit, after it's been there for a year!
So this weekend we are going to look for houses and apartments so that we have somewhere to put our stuff when we get it here.
