A New Beginning

Thursday April 22nd we arrived at the hospital to be induced. We were supposed to go at 10:00 pm but there was a misunderstanding and they had us come in at 1:00pm. So I got checked into my room and was admitted around 1:30. Here is the beginning of a long few days!

We were so excited to finally be there because we knew we weren't going home without our little Braxton. I will admit I was nervous but it was all worth it!

I was supposed to get a pill when i first got to the hospital to start things up but Braxton's heartbeat was so up and down I did not get any pills until about 5:0 pm. So the first few hours were quite long. Although I wasn't in pain or anything so it was good. Once they gave me the pill it started my contractions pretty regular but I was still only about a 4. My body liked to go very slow during this whole process. So here is a contraction before my epidural.

And after I was pretty much myself again, the epidural was my best friend the rest of the labor and delivery. It did numb my whole right leg and my left leg didn't really get an of it but i still was numb. My right leg was just dead I couldn't move it on my own.

They gave me oxygen just to keep Braxton's heartbeat regular and I had a little fever. So I looked lovely! Aaron was the best support ever. I couldn't have done any of it without him.

On Friday at about 5:30 or so They told me I was at 9 cm. So i started getting pretty excied. people started coming and waiting in the waiting room. Little did we know it would be another 8 hours before we got to see our Little Braxton.

I think i misplaced this picture... oops!

After a long 32 hours of waiting and 3 hours in delivery. We finally met Braxton Scott. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. and was 21 inches long. He had a tough delivery we had to use the vaccuum on his poor little head because his head wasn't sitting straight and it was quite big so it was kinda hard to get him here, but it was all worth it and I would do it again in a hearbeat for him.

The beginning of our new little family. We love him more then we ever could have imagined!

My new little Man, it's amazing what a blessing he is in my life already. However I could not have made it through this without my wonderful husband Aaron. Because of his faith in me I knew i could do anything. Bonding with my little boy!

Daddy spending time with Braxton. What handsome men I have in my life. How lucky can a girl get? Aaron loves his son. I love watching them together.

Grandma Foster!

Braxton had a higher range of jaundice so we had to stay an extra day in the hospital and he had to spend it under these lights. He looked like he was just chilling in a tanning bed. He has his little bug eyes and everything. It did help him a lot. He still had to bring home a lighted blanket for a couple days but at least we are at home now.

Finally on Monday we got to come home.

Dad and Brax getting ready to go home.

Here we are finally leaving. I hadn't seen the hallyway in the 4 days. It was nice to be out of bed.

We made it home and we love it!!!!

Here Braxton is just relaxing at home and not in the hospital... he loves it! We are so glad he is doing so much better so that we could bring him home. We are excited for this new beginning in life. Thanks for all the support and love. Braxton is one spoiled little boy.
